The return of CD Migjorn to Tercera RFEF for the 2026/27 season means there will be a game in Menorca every weekend from the fifth tier of Spanish football.
The Menorca Honor Division champions return a season after suffering relegation from the same league, while Mercadal have been building in recent years towards a possible push for the promotion play-offs, finishing in a credible eighth place.
The 18-team division, which is Group 11 of the Tercera RFEF tier, provides the top five with the chance to earn a step up to Segunda RFEF and the bottom three teams will be relegated back to the regional divisions – although as CE Alaior found to their cost a few seasons ago, even being just above the drop sometimes puts you at risk depending on the movement of the Balearic clubs in the higher tiers.
The two Menorcan ‘derby’ matches are fairly late in the schedule, with the first meeting coming on December 13th in Migjorn, before Mercadal host on April 24th, which may be a nice target time to travel.
