CE Mercadal are now seven games without a win in the Tercera Division after drawing 2-2 with Llosetense on Wednesday night.

In a game previously postponed earlier in the month, Mercadal fought from a goal down to led 2-1.

Raul Marques and David Camps had put them on course for victory, but an own goal from Luke Naylor in the 90th minute denied them the three points.

They have now drawn four and lost three since their last win, which leaves them 16th in the table.

Mercadal must finish 14th or above to avoid immediate relegation back to Regional Preference Menorca.

They are currently a point behind 14th placed UD Rotlet Monior.

Mercadal host UD Poblense this weekend.

Three teams maintained their unbeaten starts to the Regional Preference Menorca season.

CE Alaior made it four wins from four as they were 2-1 victors away at Atletic Ciutadella.

Sergio Pons scored twice four minutes either side of half-time and they held off a late fightback from the hosts, triggered by Albert Munuz’s 70th minute strike.

A goal in the very first minute from Xavier Bosch settled the Ciutadellenc derby in favour of UE Sami against Penya Ciutadella.

It was Sami’s first win of the season, though they are still unbeaten having drawn their opening two games.

In between Alaior and Sami at the top are  CD Menorca, who were 3-0 winners at Sporting Mahon.

Marc Urbina scored a hat-trick, including two before the break, for one of the promotion favourites.

A second half blitz helped UD Mahon beat CD Migjorn 3-2.

They trailed through Juan Nnabama, but goals from Diego Gazquez, Migel Martinez and Ivan Camarena all within nine minutes of each other turned the game on its head.

Elsewhere, CCE Sant Lluis remain winless at the start of the new season after losing 3-1 against CE Ferreries, who in turn registered their first win of the campaign.
