As is tradition, the regional Menorca season started with a cup competition involving the 11 senior teams in the island division.
Split in to a group of six and a group of five, the teams play each other once in a round-robin, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals.
The semi-finals take place this weekend:
CE Ferreries v CD Migjorn (Sat 25 Oct, 5pm)
CE Alaior v Sporting Mahon (Sat 25 Oct, 6pm)

Menorca Cup 2025/26 – Group A results
In Group A, reigning league and cup champions Sporting Mahon made it through alongside group winners CE Ferreries, with both sides having secured their berth in the semi-finals before the final round of group fixtures.
CD Menorca were the only team who didn’t record a victory, managing just a solitary draw, which came in their final group game against city rivals Sporting Mahon.
A hat-trick for Joan Bosch Mezquida in Atletico Villacarlos’ 5-0 win over Penya Ciutadella meant he finishes as one of four players with three goals across the group stage, alongside David Camps Bagur (Penya), Bilal Moukrim (Sporting Mahon), and David Pons (Ferreries).
Penya won two of their first three games, but lost their last two to deny them any hope of getting through to the knockout stages.

Menorca Cup 2025/26 – Group B results
A game less each for the teams in Group B owing to the odd number, and it went down to Matchday 5, where had results gone another way, the top four clubs could have all ended up on the same number of points.As it was CE Alaior and CD Migjorn were victorious, both 2-1, against UD Mahon and Ciutadella CE respectively to earn their semi-final spots.
CCE Sant Lluis lost all four of their games in the group, conceding 13 goals in the process.
Experienced striker Ramon Huescar (Alaior) and Juan Palomino (Migjorn) both scored four goals apiece across the group stage.
